Erde Workshop on July 17, 14:00 – 18:00, Strandbad Tegelsee.
Greta Cazzola and Nicola Schüschke will give a workshop on mapping and printing.
“We want to map the traces of findings that we make on a common stroll around the Strandbad. As a first step, we go on a walk and keep our eyes open for interesting materials: human trash traces as well as natural and organic materials. We will then sort our findings and print them on paper.
We want to print on pre-used paper to initiate an aesthetic of coincidence and reuse and to continue the circle of finding and giving a new purpose.
By locating the found objects on the paper we create a personal map of the area.
Please bring a rolling pin!

Erde Workshops are presented as a part of the two-year collaborative project ARTISTIC ECOLOGIES: NEW COMPASSES, TOOLS AND ALLIANCES conceived in collaboration with WHW (Zagreb), Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam), and Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit (Berlin). Greta Cazzola und Nicola Schüschke bieten einen Workshop zum Thema Kartierung und Druck an.
"Wir wollen die Spuren der Fundstücke kartieren, die wir bei einem gemeinsamen Spaziergang rund um das Strandbad machen. Zuerst gehen wir spazieren und halten die Augen offen für interessante Materialien: menschliche Müllspuren, aber auch natürliche und organische Materialien. Dann sortieren wir unsere Funde und drucken sie auf Papier.
Wir wollen auf Altpapier und bereits genutztes Papier drucken, um eine Ästhetik des Zufalls und der Wiederverwendung zu erschaffen und den Kreislauf des Findens und Wiederverwendens fortzusetzen.
Indem wir die gefundenen Objekte auf dem Papier verorten, schaffen wir eine ganz persönliche Karte der Gegend.”
Gerne ein Nudelholz mitbringen!

Die Erde Workshops werden im Rahmen des zweijährigen Kooperationsprojekts ARTISTIC ECOLOGIES präsentiert: NEW COMPASSES, TOOLS AND ALLIANCES, das in Zusammenarbeit mit WHW (Zagreb), Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Amsterdam) und Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit (Berlin) konzipiert wurde.
